Sports

The province of Castellón has three modern golf courses equipped with every amenity, two of which have eighteen holes and are located inland in the province.

Some of the outdoor sports that can be practiced while enjoying the province’s natural inland scenery include trekking, caving, canoeing, rafting, canyoning, horse riding, paintball and rock climbing.

Another option is water-sports, which are mainly practiced on the coast, but may also be found on the rivers and reservoirs of inland areas where there are opportunities to practice many sports.

Many go fishing on the rivers of inland Castellón where the water is clean and transparent and where the emblematic species is the trout. Along with fishing, hunting is the other extremely popular pursuit for which Castellón offers many magnificent opportunities. Large game hunting is represented by wild boars and the Iberian goat. Small game hunting is much more widespread; in almost every
municipality there are hunting grounds where the main species hunted include partridges, hares and rabbits.

CBI Sports

Amongst the hunting pursuits, the traditional sport of pigeon and clay pigeon shooting must not be forgotten. This is organised by associations with a long tradition who have permanent ranges where they hold most of their tournaments.
